Price and Pay Raise Calculator
Apply a percentage raise to a price or salary, add several in a row and see the overall compound rate. Also find the rate between two amounts, the amount before a raise and what a raise is worth after inflation.

How it is calculated
Successive raises multiply rather than add: the second applies to the already raised amount. Going back from a raised amount, divide by (1 + rate) instead of subtracting the rate. The real raise shows how far a raise beats price growth over the same period; subtracting inflation from the raise is only an approximation, the exact figure is the ratio of the two factors. Enter the CPI change over the period the raise covers (TÜİK). For the legal cap on rent increases use the rent increase calculator.
New = Amount × (1 + r₁) × (1 + r₂) × …; Rate = (New − Old) ÷ Old; Old = New ÷ (1 + r); Real raise = (1 + Raise) ÷ (1 + Inflation) − 1Example
20,000 with a 25% raise is 20,000 × 1.25 = 25,000. Another 10% six months later: 25,000 × 1.10 = 27,500, a 37.5% rise in all, not 35%. With 30% inflation over the period, the real raise is 1.375 ÷ 1.30 − 1 = 5.77%.
Frequently asked questions
Does a 20% rise then a 20% cut get back to the start?
No. ₺100 rises to ₺120 and a 20% cut takes it to ₺96. Getting back to ₺100 takes a 20 ÷ 120 = 16.67% cut.
How do two raises combine?
Multiply the factors and subtract 1: for 25% and 10%, 1.25 × 1.10 − 1 = 37.5%. Adding the rates (35%) understates the rise.
Did my raise keep up with inflation?
Under “Real raise”, enter the raise and inflation over the same period. A negative result (real loss) means the new pay buys less than the old.
