High-value home tax tariff: GİB
How it is calculated
The high-value home tax is charged on top of property tax and paid to the tax office. The base is the building tax value the municipality sets for property tax; the land registry’s value is not used. The threshold and bracket limits rise each January by half the revaluation rate. An owner of a taxable home files a return by 20 February of the following year, and the tax is paid in two equal instalments by the end of February and August.
Vergi = Σ (dilimdeki değer × dilim oranı); Ödenecek = Vergi × HisseHomes whose building tax value exceeds ₺17,711,000 are taxed. The part from ₺17,711,000 to ₺26,567,000 pays 3 per mille, the part up to ₺35,425,000 pays 6, and anything above pays 10.Example
A home with a ₺25,000,000 building tax value that is not the owner’s only home pays 3 per mille on the ₺7,289,000 above the threshold: ₺21,867 a year, ₺10,933.50 per instalment.
