How it is calculated
In futures you post margin rather than the full contract value, and that leverage turns small price moves into large gains or losses against the margin. If losses push it below the maintenance level, you get a margin call. Margins are set per contract by the clearing house (Takasbank).
Formula
Kâr/Zarar = (Çıkış − Giriş) × Çarpan × Sözleşme sayısı × YönSide: +1 long, −1 short · Multiplier: what one price unit is worth per contract (see the contract specs).Example
Going long 5 contracts at 12,500 and closing at 12,900 with a multiplier of 10 makes (12,900 − 12,500) × 10 × 5 = ₺20,000; with ₺15,000 margin per contract that is a 26.67% return.
