Turkish Parcel Shipping Cost Calculator: Carrier List Prices

How it is calculated

These are the carriers’ public individual list prices. Marketplace and contract rates are often much lower, and branch campaigns and extras (insurance, cash on delivery, notifications) change the price too. Carriers update their lists on their own schedule: PTT’s list is dated 1 Oct 2026; Sürat’s list carries no date, so this uses the current list on Sürat’s site (PDF, last checked 28.10.2026). As of 28.10.2026, Yurtiçi Kargo’s and Aras Kargo’s sites offer no downloadable price list, only their own calculators, and DHL eCommerce’s individual list does not say how many kilometres its within-city, near, short, medium and long columns cover. So they are not here; get their prices from their own sites. Note 5 of PTT’s tariff reads “PTT İşyeri/Kargomat teslimli gönderilerin kabul ücreti yürürlükteki tarife üzerinden %5 indirim uygulanacak şekilde alınacaktır.(Ek/Özel hizmetler hariç)” (a 5% discount on the acceptance fee for “PTT İşyeri/Kargomat teslimli” parcels, extras excluded); the PTT prices here do not include it.

Formula

Chargeable = max(kg, Width × Length × Height ÷ Divisor);  Price = the carrier’s list price for that kg/desi and route × pieces

PTT Kargo lists two columns, same province and other provinces; above 30 kg/desi each extra kg/desi adds ₺20.00 locally and ₺30.00 elsewhere, VAT included. Sürat Kargo lists five columns by the distance from pick-up to delivery (within the city, 0–200 km near, 201–600 km short, 601–1,000 km medium and over 1,000 km long route; for PTT, “within the city” takes the within-province column and the rest the other-province column); address pick-up and delivery are charged separately, and 2.35% postal levy and 20% VAT are added. In both lists a single piece over 100 kg/desi adds a ₺4,500.00 heavy-load charge. The divisor is the one each carrier states on its own site; PTT does not publish one, so its price needs the chargeable kg/desi. Sürat’s list does not say what its 0 kg/ds row applies to, nor how parcels under 1 kg are priced; as the list does not say, we do not use the 0 kg/ds row and price anything up to 1 kg/ds at the 1 kg/ds row.

Work out the desi from the size and compare it with the scale weight; the greater is chargeable.
A fraction falls into the next row of the list.
Pick the column for the route and add the address services.
If the list is before VAT, add the postal levy and VAT.

Example

A 30 × 40 × 20 cm, 5 kg box is 8 desi with a 3000 divisor. Sürat Kargo lists 8 kg/ds at 201–600 km at ₺745.34; adding ₺113.80 for address delivery gives ₺859.14, or ₺1,055.20 with the 2.35% postal levy and 20% VAT. If PTT counts it as 8 kg/desi, its other-province price is ₺440.00 (VAT included).

Frequently asked questions

What decides the shipping price?

The greater of kg and desi (the chargeable weight) and the route. Desi is width × length × height (cm) divided by the carrier’s divisor; 3000 is common domestically.

Is VAT included?

PTT’s list includes VAT. Sürat Kargo’s list excludes VAT and the 2.35% postal levy; the calculator adds both and shows the VAT-inclusive price.

Why is a marketplace’s shipping fee lower?

Marketplaces and large senders have bulk contracts with carriers; those prices are not public list prices and are not worked out here.
