How it is calculated
The tool uses the “National Childhood Immunisation Schedule (2026)” vaccine card published by the Turkish Ministry of Health’s General Directorate of Public Health; the card’s footnote says it was updated as of 1 Sept 2026. According to the ministry the schedule vaccinates routinely against 13 diseases: diphtheria, pertussis, tetanus, polio, hepatitis B, hepatitis A, Hib, tuberculosis, measles, mumps, rubella, varicella and pneumococcus. Abbreviations are the card’s own: Hep-B hepatitis B, BCG tuberculosis, KPA pneumococcal conjugate (PCV), DaBT-İPA-Hib-HepB the six-in-one (diphtheria, acellular pertussis, tetanus, inactivated polio, Haemophilus influenzae type b, hepatitis B), OPA oral polio, KKK measles-rubella-mumps (MMR), Hep-A hepatitis A, DaBT-İPA four-in-one (DTaP-IPV), Td adult tetanus-diphtheria. Vaccines on the schedule are given free at family health centres. Vaccines outside the schedule (e.g. rotavirus, meningococcal) are not in this tool.
Vaccination date = date of birth + the schedule’s number of months (calendar months)“End of month 2” is the day the child completes 2 months: 10 May for a baby born on 10 March. Months are calendar months, not 30 days; when a month lacks the day (31 January + 1 month) its last day is used. “Month 48” is shown as the 4th birthday and “age 13” as the 13th birthday.- For each time point of the schedule, add that many calendar months to the date of birth.
- List that day’s vaccines with their doses on the schedule.
- Mark dates before today as passed and the first date from today on as next.
Example
For a baby born on 10 March 2026, the month-2 vaccines (BCG, PCV, hexavalent) fall due on 10 May 2026, the month-6 ones on 10 September 2026, the month-12 ones on 10 March 2027 and the age-4 ones on 10 March 2030. On 28 October 2026 the next one is the month-9 extra MMR dose: 10 December 2026, 43 days away.
Frequently asked questions
What does “end of month 2” mean, and on which day is the vaccine given?
It is the day the baby completes 2 months; the tool adds two calendar months to the date of birth. The date shown is when that point of the schedule is reached; your family physician sets the actual day.
Why does hepatitis B appear only at birth?
In the current schedule the first hepatitis B dose is a separate shot at birth; the later doses are part of the six-in-one vaccine (DaBT-İPA-Hib-HepB) at months 2, 4, 6 and 18. In the 2020 schedule hepatitis B was a separate vaccine at birth and at the end of months 1 and 6.
What is the extra MMR dose at month 9?
The current card has an “extra dose” of the measles-rubella-mumps vaccine at the end of month 9. The month-12 and month-48 doses of the schedule are still given after it.
When was the second varicella dose added?
According to the ministry, from 1 September 2026 a second varicella dose is given at month 48 (age 4) throughout Turkey, and children under 72 months (age 6) who have not had it get a catch-up dose. The tool says so in the result if your child is in that group.
What if we missed a vaccine?
Your family physician decides how to catch up on missed doses; the ministry advises going to the family physician to check a child’s vaccination status and complete missing doses. This tool does not know which vaccines your child has had; it only shows the schedule’s dates.
Why are flu, rotavirus or meningitis vaccines not listed?
The tool shows only the vaccines on the ministry’s national childhood schedule. Ask your paediatrician about vaccines outside it.
